Adventures in Kakadu – Day 2!

See lil ole Courto reading the info? Big rock overhangs.

We then started our ascent to the majestic views of Kakadu and Arnhem Land;

Let the climb begin!

The rock was covered in people, yet, reflective and peaceful at the same time;

People, people everywhere.

The views were expansive;

The East Alligator River behind us separates Kakadu from Arnhem Land.

To the Northeast

Southeast views

After our moment with neverending vistas, we made our way back to the car for a few more walks through wetlands, plateaus usually underwater, a strictly Women’s Aboriginal walk, and views across to Arnhem Land.

Can you see the creature?

No refreshing waterfalls to dive into here.

The pathway took us in and out and around.

Through a tunnel of trees.

Goodbye Kakadu.

Our last stop took in the falling sun from yet another awesome information/activity centre less than an hour outside Darwin.

One response to “Adventures in Kakadu – Day 2!

  1. It seems to be a great place to visit! Unfortunately, we probably won’t be able to go and visit it. We need to come back on an another exchange in order to see other parts of Australia.

    Cela semble être un endroit absolument génial! Malheureusement, nous n’aurons probablement pas l’occasion d’aller le visiter. Il ne nous reste donc plus qu’à revenir en Australie pour faire un autre échange.
